Run
the TipPopperSetup.exe file. When you have completed the installation,
you can now show and hide the Text Input Panel by pressing Windows +
Enter. Log out and log in again to activate the new Pen Flick settings.
If you chose not to install the predefined Pen Flick settings included in the installation, you can edit your settings manually.
The
TIP should appear whenever you touch text input areas that are
programmed to work with the TIP. TipPopper comes with some in-built
exceptions, such as Microsoft Word, OneNote, Notepad, Chromes "new
tab" page and Open and Save dialogs. When the foreground window is on the exception list, the tray icon gets a shade of blue. To open the TIP in these
applications, just perform the Pen Flick to open the tip.
You
can enable and disable autopopping by clicking the TipPopper icon in
the system tray or by using the Windows + Esc key.
Troubleshooting
If the TIP does not appear in any text input fields whatsoever, check
these settings:
Open the TIP, select Tools then Options,
and
make sure both "For tablet input, show the icon next to the text box"
and "For touch input, show the icon next to text box" is enabled.
If
you are using Vista, the setting seems to be: "For tablet pen input,
show the Input Panel icon next to the text entry area when possible".
