Ever since I began using Workbench for more than just starting programs, I've been keen on changing it cosmetically.
Whenever I discovered a program that would let me change the looks of something
in the system, I'd give it a shot, and tried to improve my desktop. Icons, colours,
gadgets, fonts, menus... everything that could be altered - I've tried to alter it. :)
One reason for this is that the standard Amiga Workbench is plain ugly,
another one is that I've always been fond of drawing and designing, and I want to use my talents to improve something
that I use every day and I'm fond of; namely my desktop.
My system has gone through some major plastic surgery throughout the years,
and I'm very thankful to all those who have programmed patches, hacks, commodities etc. to make the industry standard
4-color Workbench to rise to splendid world of truecolor backgrounds and patterns, colourful
buttons and windows, colourful (even transparent) icons... the list is huge.
There has been a lot of effort from various programmers to make the system look
better, and I've tried to keep up with the development, allowing my system to become more and more personalised
(and good-looking ;)). But I still crave more, and probably forever will. It seems I'm forever striving, making
new icons along the way, new design for new programs and so on... But now I feel that my system design has
come to a such a level that it makes me want to share it with the world... or at least those who may take interest in this weird hobby of mine. :)
Since I am now moving to Tromsų, additions to this page will occur sporadically and untimely. But I'll try my best to
disturb you with newscreengrabs and icons as they come along.
The latest edit was an update of the gadgets on the prefs page
